Education – Sacred Olla

“If you’re considering a doula just do it! This is worth it. Husbands are great, Liz is better. She took her cues from me. She did not guide me through what was good for me but rather allowed me to guide her to help me.”

“When I met Liz I had recently started my new healthy living path way of life. She taught me the importance of how to implement yoga stretches and massages daily along with all the new healthy eating and supplements. My muscles and joints were very achy and stiff but since I started doing the exercises, she taught me my body feel so much more motivated. My muscles and joints aren't stiff or achy anymore. I love how she listened to my needs and then read the energy of my body to get me back on track. I would refer her to anyone I see that's in need of her services 1000%. She is such an angel sent from God.”

“While I’ve had womb work before, as well as massage, Liz created such a beautiful space which allowed me to bring my full self into the healing work with comfort and unconditional acceptance. I could deeply relax. She approaches body work holistically, and brings the wisdom and calm of the many teachers she’s had, elders and healers from the south, into her clear guidance as she’s preparing you for body work, during, and after. I felt safe, seen, and more in touch with my body, more aware. I understood where my pain was coming from and how to relieve it. Lots of info on living a healthy lifestyle, too. She encourages and teaches you how to care of yourself. She sees you as your own healer.

“As our Doula/CoMadre, you helped us gather knowledge and encouraged us. You reminded us of our goals and values as parents. You made mommy feel like she was the expert in herself. You built her confidence and empowered her to birth and breast feed. You reconfirmed our powers of choice and honored our choices along the way helping us be in charge of our own experience. You were our support during moments of vulnerability and strength. You listened with compassion and served us with your hands and your heart. Thank you for believing in us.”

“Receiving bodywork as a midwife is incredibly intimate. Trusting Liz was easy. physically & emotionally surrendering to her healing hands was deeply restorative. Liz is thee midwife’s & birth worker’s, bodyworker, especially post births.”

“As a doula she held space gently and consciously, helping me practice care for myself when I was pregnant, keeping an unobtrusive and intuitive eye on my flow and state of being while birthing, and absolutely surrounding me with solid presence, love, and power, recognizing the spiritual force and raw physiology both in need of attentiveness at this time.”

“Sacred Olla was our doula through a very long labor. We are so grateful to Liz for helping us, she was exactly what we needed and we recommend her from the bottom of our hearts! We also did childbirth classes with Liz and experienced a real sense of community with other women and couples also expecting. We depended on Liz for both our first and second births. Knowing I had someone I could trust and who was a part of my community gave me confidence in my first birth.”

“Everyone present at the birth continues have such a special connection to my son, birthing naturally was a very powerful experience for us all, and I’m thankful my son has a group of people who are connected to him in this way. Liz continued to check in on me during my postpartum period, and I am forever grateful to all she gave during the birth and beyond! She provided the 1-1 guidance and attention I would never have receiving from the hospital or birth center staff.”

“I hadn’t received any type of bodywork like it before and was pleasantly surprised! Before the session, Liz took the time to get to know me more, answer any questions/concerns I had, and share a bit about her journey. I felt safe and comfortable, which made it easy to fully lean into the experience and simply focus on my breath. After the session, Liz held space for me to move through some emotions that came up. The following days I felt more present in my body, my spine felt elongated and I also felt less tension in my hips! Liz was also great about checking in with me to see how I was feeling.”
